summer summer!!!

We've had a great couple of days soaking up the summer sun, now that everyone is healthy. Well, little miss is still a little cranky, but doing better! We enjoyed the free movies, swam at the local lake, went to our cousin's houseboat (thank you!) Spencer & Jake inner tubing..my little fish LOVED it!Here's my Spencer jumping off the houseboat....he probably did this about 100 times, give or take 10! LOL!and then swam with friends today. Also, threw a small party to say goodbye to a friend last night. (Jenny, Victoria (moving to Clovis), me, Corinna, and Alina)Joe says I'm cramming as much summer as I can in before school starts....you betcha! It's no secret that I don't wanna go back to work!!!
The boys set up a lemonade stand, made the signs and lemonade themselves.
Hope you are all enjoying your summer days, too!!! My parents get back from Arizona tomorrow! Grandpa is feeling better (and sounding better).

Sickness is no fun.

I'm back...we've fought the sickness...and won! hooray! Something yucky is going around...not sure where it came from...Joe swears the gym..don't go without bringing a towel to wipe down the machines..but whatever it was, it wiped everyone out but moi! I have super mom/teacher immunity, I swear!!! Kendall has a lingering runny nose and crankiness, but I think sh'e teething, too! Poor girl!
And my Grandpa got sick, too..he went to the hospital about a week and a half ago, and then they found out it's valley fever. He lives in Tucson. My parents were worried (Grandpa will be celebrating *90* this year!!!!), so they decided to head out to Tucson to see him. Boy, was he was surprised and so happy when they walked into his hospital room! He perked up and was sent home the next day! So they are there, taking care of him for a few days. My Dad's sister, Ann, who lives in Illinois, flew out to see her Dad, too. So Grandpa has his kids with him, he couldn't be any happier! I was trying to figure out a way to go, too, but that would involve me bringing all or most of my kiddos...and then Kendall got sick anyway, so we didn't make it on this trip. (I know I have quite a few family members who read my blog...hello!...so wanted them to have the update!)
So now we are back to enjoying the last few weeks of our summer...swimming, free movies, parties (my niece Pana turned 3 today!). A good friend is moving to Clovis next week, so we are trying to have a little get together before she goes. And maybe squeeze in a houseboat trip!!! :-)
Happy Monday!
Sorry no pics...haven't uploaded my pics in a week...still doing my project 365, though!

The days are going by...

A smidge less than 3 weeks before I have.to.go.back.to.work...waaaaah!!!

Enjoying my days with the fam...not so much lately since we have a house of sickies right now...Joe is on day 5...ugh...and Cooper is day 3 and feeling better. Spencer is on day 1...he recovers quickly...but not quickly enough for our trip to San Diego! Waaaah!!! We were supposed to go today and my boys had tickets to Comic Con for Friday! Kendall and I were going to visit my old college roomie, Michelle. So, anyways..we're staying home now and mama ain't happy!

We did get over to the bay area on Monday to visit with another college roomie and a great friend, Kim!(pictures by Spencer!)
Kim is expecting baby #2, a boy! She has an adorable little girl, Amanda, who you swear is older than almost 3! She was a great helper with Kendall! And she loved playing with Sen-ser (Spencer!). After our visit and park time with them, we headed over to Nana and Grandpa's for a visit and a yummy dinner. Spencer picked some produce from their garden and asked Grandpa, "Why do you have so many breakables in your house?" Grandpa just laughed! Luckily, nothing was broken! Not sure where my photography skills were in this picture...not that I claim to be a great photographer, but come on, the lighting is all wrong...I might try it in black and white to see if it's better! Sorry, Nana and Grandpa!!!
So, now, just waiting for my men to get better so we can get out and enjoy summer again! And now we'll be able to go to Cooper's 2nd soccer game this weekend. Cooper enjoys it...as long as he doesn't bump into anyone!

Happy Wednesday!

Summer Fun

Whew, it's hot out there...we have been staying in lately...we did brave the heat for an early park playdate today at 9:30. Kids gotta be outside! Cindy and I took my kids and my brother-in-law's kids up to Pinecrest this week. Michelle and kids (minus Maddie) were camping up there for the week. We played at the lake and at their campsite for the day and enjoyed a quiet car ride home..all 5 kids were asleep before we even were on the road for 5 minutes!

Look what Coop can do!

Look what my little man can do...write his name! He's known how to spell his name for awhile now, but we just needed to pratice writing! He's so proud...he likes to "color in " his o's...I told him Mrs. Robbins won't like it (one of his teachers next year!). He shrugged...that's my Cooper.

He's so different from his big brother. He does things at his own pace, when he wants...stubborn, but sweet. Loves to cuddle. Loves to help! He is his Daddy's best helper! He is a hard worker...big bro, not so much! We love our Cooper!

In Spencer news, wanted to share this photo...doesn't he look like a blond Edward??? Hee-hee, Twilight fans will know what I'm talking about! that hair! Daddy cut the boys hair the other day, he did a good job! Is it really worth it to pay $30 for 2 little boys' haircuts??? No! Of course, we will still take them in for styling, but Daddy can do the in-between trims...and save money! More frugal living at it's best...

And of course, need to include the little miss...enjoying dinner in her booster...bye bye highchair! We're a BIG girl now! (still waiting for her hair to grow...hee-hee)
