Happy Monday!
Check out this cool site! :-) Makes your photos look old!
Back to school here...the boys were excited...me, not so much... we had a nice week off...parties, playdates, trip to visit Kim & Amanda, dinner with Nana & Grandpa, hanging out, bowling, etc...now it's back to the grind.
Look, ma, I can stand! I'm 10 months old!
New House Resolutions:
I really want to change some things, and moving into a new house seems like a good time to do this. We are going to take family walks everyday, or at least every other day. Started today. We live near the creek bike path, so that should be fun to walk. Also, going to do one new recipe a week to expand our horizon. Kim gave me a great recipe for chicken cous cous. Might try that this week. I'll post the recipes that I try.
Also, want to do one project a week with the kids. Not sure what this week's project is, but will post that, also. Have some ideas...
That's it. for now. Facebook seems to be sucking away my blogging time...

Updates
We've been busy here! We celebrated Valentine's Day with my parents coming over with a heart shaped pizza! Then we had Joe's parents over for sausage and peppers the next night. We've been off of school this week...getting things unpacked, up on the walls, taxes done...today Lance Armstrong came to town for the Amgen Tour of California. We walked over to one part of the race route with my mom and Joe's sister and family. Spencer and Jake were excited, but it was over so fast, and they were disappointed. "That's all?" they wondered. I got a shot of Lance, it's not very good, but it's him! There was a big festival downtown, but we didn't venture down there. I kind of wish we did, but I know it would have been packed!

Tomorrow the kids and I are heading to the Bay Area to visit Kim and Amanda, and then have dinner with Grandpa and Nana!
Congrats to my friend Charlotte on the birth of baby Tyler! He's adorable!
Prayers needed for two of my friends who have been diagnosed with cancer: breast cancer, thryoid cancer. They both have small children, and one just found out she's pregnant! Please keep Erin and Shelly in your prayers.

Valentine's Love
Decorating his cupcake...
Lunch!
My valentine!
Mailboxes from school...
Today Cooper and Kendall had Valentine's Day at school, and I got Grammy to sub for me so I could go...aww, the perks of having a sub in the family...and it was fun! Coop was so excited I was there, he held my hand the whole time. Miss K was sleeping the whole time...We had a nice heart lunch and decorated cupcakes. Cooper was thrilled with his mailbox of goodies and looked through it all afternoon.
The gifts for the teachers...says "You deserve a hand. Happy Valentine's Day!" Being a teacher, I know it's nice to get chocolate gifts, but it's nice to get useful gifts, too. And who washes their hands more than a teacher? So they are getting some good hand cream. Saw this idea in Family fun magazine.
Also, best wishes to Victoria and family on the birth of Sadie! Congrats!

i do have a blog, but I think I'm boring...
...not much to say...busy with boxes and kids and putting things away and school and stressing over next year...will class size reduction be cut? Will I have a job? Will I have to switch schools???? Noooooo....saying lots of prayers right now....
but anyway, what's new with you? Are you feeling the pinch at all? This crazy economy...how did it go from so good to so bad so fast? Can I use "so" anymore? I'm not shopping much...trying to stay away from Target, luckily our new house is far from Target, so that's good for the pocketbook.
The house is far from many things....the grocery store, for example. BUT we are about 2 min. max from my in-law's, so that is nice. I can just drop by for sugar or an egg! And our neighbors all seem pretty nice. It's a nice neighborhood, but the house itself is taking some getting used to. I'm still warming up to it...literally. It always seems cold! We had the heater checked out and found out the kids' rooms were not being heated at all! My poor babies! And we're having a cold spell right now.
My classroom heater was on the fritz for a while, too, until I wrote an email about how ridiculous it was that my room was always freezing and sent it to my principal and vice principal. The district brought in space heaters that day and fixed the heater the very next day. The squeaky wheel gets noticed...
OK, enough babbling, right? Here's some recent pics! Realizing there are NO pics of me yet so far this year. Hmmm....time to hand over the camera! Not that I particularly want a pic of me, but for posterity reasons...:-)
It's hard to get a pic of 3 kiddos....like this b/c you can see which two will probably be fighting in a few years...hee-hee
Sweet K in her tutu from GrandmaThis is her "I-just-woke-up-and-Mommy-wants-to-do-a-photo-shoot" look. Sleepy eyes...

Grammy playing with the kiddos!
So we're in the new house....enjoying it! Everyone loves it. It's freezing, though....the heater needs to be fixed in the bedrooms...thank goodness it's a rental! So we're bundled up...no one seems to be as cold as me, though!
The major stuff is in and unpacked, now it's all the extras....oh, so tired of unpacking....anyone wanna come help????
Joe is getting ready to start his video production company...on the side. He NEEDS a creative outlet and misses his video work a lot, so he's all set...new computer and software and now he needs work! :-)My 10-month-old girl is fussing...nap time! Better go!

Where's Amy?
I'm here!!!! Sorry...been gone too long. Part of the problem is my computer does not have internet access, so I'm using Cindy's computer...so enjoy the updates without pics...sorry, Joe!
1. We are in the process of moving. We are working through the boxes....slowly. We have too much stuff, I think! We are still camping out at my in-law's. Easier with a baby.
2. Like the new house a lot. The floor plan is great, even better than our old house. The house has 1 less bedroom, but more square footage. Joe and I are using the dining room as our office since it's tucked off the kitchen and the family room. Wish the kitchen and flooring was more updated, though. The backyard will be fun for the boys! And we've met 2 neighbors so far, and they are great! One has a 16 year old daughter for babysitting. The other is good friends with my mother-in-law.
3. Watching the commercials, I mean the Super Bowl right now. Joe is rooting for the Steelers, and Spencer and I are rooting for the Cardinals. No reason in particular!
4. Up to date with Project 365...it's fun to take pictures everyday. Trying to take pictures of everyday stuff, too, so we can remember what life was like for us in 2009.
5. Maddie is the BEST at helping! She came over and was cleaning my house like crazy yesterday, and baking beautiful cakes for her mom in between.
6. My sister had hand surgery Friday (Jenny) because she sliced her finger pretty deeply cutting an avocado! She is doing fine, but will take a while to recover. She is wearing a huge cast on her arm, too! She and Justin are heading to Colorado in a few weeks to see their nephew. My mom is "babysitting" their dogs in San Diego....nice job! :-)))
7. OK, that's it for now. We get internet on Thursday, so I'll update with pictures of the house and my kids!
