Look what I can do!

Look at me! I know how to sit up by myself now! I get into position all by myself, too! I really like sitting up. Mommy catches me sitting up in my crib...instead of laying down to nap...haha!

In other news, my brother Cooper has tried to kill Spencer's fish twice! The first time he threw the fish bowl-cup on the floor. Fishy flopped around while Spencer screamed, but Daddy saved the day! Then yesterday, Cooper dumped the new bowl down the drain, but since Mommy had dishes in the sink, Daddy was able to scoop Fishy up before he slid down the drain. Luckily, Spencer was not home! Mommy and Daddy don't know why Cooper hates the fish!

Mommy won me an organic onesie on The Tree Hugging Blog! It says "My stroller is a hybrid"...whatever that is! Mommy sure loves all this green stuff. Check out the blog to see my shirt. Can't wait for it to come!

Better go...here comes Mommy! I am hungry!

The last day of summer!

How did you spend your last day of summer 08?

We went to the local (tiny) zoo! The kids ran around, mama played paparazzi, and the weather was perfect! Wish it could be low 80's all the time!This one is too bright...darn flash went off, but I'll play with it in Photoshop Elements...though I kinda like it washed out...

So this morning, I went in to get little miss at 6:30...(lucky you Kim, having Amanda sleeping until 8:30!) And she had pulled herself up on her crib and was peeking over the crib at me! Augh! Too fast! Needless to say, the mattress was immediately lowered. She is going to keep me on my toes...:-)

Family firsts

Today we had a few family firsts...

1. Spencer got his first pet! He and Daddywere out on a date, soccer pictures, lunch, and stopped into Petco. After hearing no for his requests for: a puppy, a bird, a hamster, Daddy agreed to a fish! His name is Fishy!

2. Kendall (now 5.5 months old) had food for the first time! She seemed to like it! She has been so hungry lately...getting up 4 times a night to nurse...no joke! So hopefully this will help fill her up. She is such a little cutie. She wants to crawl so badly...she gets on all fours and rocks.

Not much else is new...just living life! Finally enjoying some cooler weather...I am so ready for fall! Pumpkin patches, leaves, great lighting for pictures...the evening golden light is so incredible. School is going well for both Spencer and me. He told me yesterday, "A peer-a-mint goes at the end of every sentence." You don't say...love his little lingo!

I'm baaaack....Joe got the new router and we're in business! Busy here...new things going on this year...homework! And soccer! And getting out with 3 kids every morning! But we're still standing!

I had a wonderful (albeit, way too short!) weekend! I met up with 3 of my college roomies, Kim, Ashley, and Charlotte. We met in Pismo Beach (about 3 hours from each of us). Just a great day/evening of talk, talk, and more talk, a few drinks, some sleep, beach, out to dinner...hope we didn't scare 17 weeks pregnant Charlotte with all our labor stories! Well, she'll be prepared for anything now! :-) It was nice to have girl time. Our hotel was so nice, with our balcony overlooking the ocean...just like old times at our apartment in Santa Barbara (Isla Vista to be exact...not the same thing as SB!) I had to cut the weekend short, though...I forgot a piece of my pump...nursing mothers can probably imagine how I felt! But I am looking forward to Girls Weekend 09! I am staying for 2 nights since I won't be pregnant or nursing! Kendall will be 17 months old (wooo....scary thought!)...Girls, thanks for a fun weekend!!!! :-) Miss you! Hopefully you can come next year, Robin!

Still having router issues...darn thing won't upload my pictures (not to mention kicks me offline regularly)...so you can't see the cutest soccer pictures or the latest batch of my 5 month old sweetie or my crazy Coop (who has cut his *own* hair twice in the last 2 weeks)...
hopefully soon all will be resolved....I promise to give lots of updates...what I am reading...what's new in our lives...green talk...blogs I love awards...
This weekend I am headed to Pismo Beach to have some girl time!!!! My college roomies and I are getting together for the First Annual Girls' Weekend. After seeing each other only really at baby showers, weddings, and such, we decided to meet once a year. Only 4 of us are making it this year (and me for one night only....waaaah!), but it's a start!!!!
Anyway, promise to be back in full force soon. Don't forget about me!!!!!!!!!!

Still here!

Sorry, long time no blog! Still here, just having some technical difficulties! We need a new router for the ole laptop! Don't have one yet, but had to update!

First, thanks Vicki for your sweet shout-out! I will do mine fav blogs next entry!

Second, I am officially a soccer mom! Spencer started soccer last night! He was so cute out there! He was running after the ball, and he was really getting into the mix! We were proud of him! And of course, our little Romeo...found a friend on the field. Apparently she helped him up when someone pushed him down. I got this cute shot of them checking each other out. He said he wants to marry her...and he doesn't even know her name! Cooper enjoying soccer practice too!

Third, our little KK is now 5 months old! Time is flying by! She's going to start cereal in a few days!

Fourth, happy belated birthday to Grandpa Ken! We had a party for him, and it was a nice evening! This cake shot is the best! Cindy was putting on some big musical candle thing and it blew up! Hope your day was great, Grandpa!!!! :-)

Better go...my boys are picking up a pizza, so better get the kitchen ready! Promise to blog more later!
